Toes that move free, stay dry, and never rub. Each toe sits in its own soft alpaca sleeve — so there's no skin-on-skin friction, the real cause of blisters and hot spots between your toes — and your foot splays and grips the way it's meant to. Softer than cashmere, built for the trail and the everyday.
A sleeve for every toe — separates each toe to stop the skin-on-skin rubbing that causes blisters and hot spots, mile after mile
Natural toe splay — toes spread, move and grip independently for better balance, ground feel and a more natural stride
Dry between the toes — alpaca wicks moisture away from exactly where regular socks trap it, so feet stay fresh and odour-free
Warm without the bulk — alpaca's hollow fibre regulates temperature, keeping every toe warm in the cold without overheating
Secure, all-day fit — a ribbed cuff and elasticated arch lock the sock in place through runs, hikes and long days on your feet
Why a blend and not 100% alpaca? A toe sock asks a lot of a fibre — it has to shape around ten separate toes, hold that shape, wick sweat and survive real mileage. Alpaca brings the softness, warmth and moisture control; nylon adds the strength and abrasion resistance toes demand; acrylic keeps it soft and holds its shape; and spandex and elastic give the precise stretch that keeps every sleeve snug. Every fibre earns its place.

ZERO LANOLIN. ZERO ITCH.
Sheep's wool is coated in lanolin and needs heavy chemical processing to make it wearable. Alpaca never had it to begin with — naturally soft, straight off the animal.

6,000 YEARS IN THE MAKING.
High in the Andes, alpacas evolved a fibre built to survive extreme altitude and brutal temperature swings. That's not a sales pitch — it's 6,000 years of evolution doing the work for you.

Incredible socks!! SOFTEST socks I have ever owned. Super comfortable. Warm yet breathable... cool in heat warm in cold. My first pair of 'toe socks' and I LOVE them! Absolutely the best socks I have tried, and I have been using smartwool socks almost exclusively for years now. My wife loves them too, we're stocking up! (Pun intended).
So far so good. I've only had the socks for a week, and they have not even gone through their first laundry yet. They feel very good and supportive. I am hoping that they will last me a long time, and that they stand up to daily wear.
Having worn merino socks for cycling before, I bought one pair to test. I’m really impressed, after riding 143km last Sunday from Brighton to Reading. I’ll be buying more!
This was a splurge for me…a big one. I’ve always bought socks that come 10 to a pack so it took me a minute to hit the order button. When I tell you it is one of the top 5 purchases I’ve made in recent memory, I do not exaggerate. Buy the socks. You deserve it and you will not regret it!
Love these Socks, my wife decided to try them and now loves them too. She took two pair now I'm down a pair to fill my 5 day work week, this sucks. I'll have to order more. Thanks Guy's for provide us a great sock.
Love these socks,, wearing construction boots for 48 years,, these are by far the best fitted socks I’ve ever had. Keep my feet comfortable in summer,,, can’t wait till winter ( not true,, I can wait )to try them in cold weather.
I have 4 pairs, love them, and have purchased for our disabled adult son who always has cold feet. They felt snug and warm. I hope they survive the laundry in the care home as the drier is used a lot!
My feet are always cold in the Winter climate where we live, I have never experienced such warm cosy comfortable socks, it's a pitty it's taken 73 years but what a bonus it is now. I LOVE THE FACT THAT YOU CAN WEAR THEM FOR TWO IR THREE DAYS WITHOUT ANY ODOUR!! MANY THANKS.
Amazing socks, they are so soft and comfortable actually wore a pair for two days and they were still fresh and soft on my feet. They do tend to pill a little bit, but that is to be expected due to the high content of alpaca fleece. I did just put them in my laundry bag and wash them normally with my other clothes. They turned out fine. I did not dry them in the dryer but I just hung them out. Did not shrink at all, but just careful when I wash them to be sure.
Love them, super comfortable and warm. On my feet all day, so done with wearing socks that feel like sandpaper and get holes within a couple months. Was wearing the crew socks and they are great and had been wearing them every day (rotating the 8) for the last few months and have no holes and hardly even signs of wear.
Worth every cent.
Thanks,
Jamie
After reading all the reviews, my husband and I were convinced that this was going to be the best thing for our cold winter feet. We live NWNSW and although we could have supported local we also love visiting NZ and decided to show support to a small NZ business.
We were not disappointed - warm but not thick and unable to get shoes/boots on. Husband has the longer ones, I have ankle. Couldn’t be happier with our purchase.
I am buying my daughter a few pairs now I know how comfortable and warm they are.
I love my ankle socks. I wear walking shoes most of the time and don’t like socks going up my legs. Yes there’s a gap sometimes between trousers and shoes but because the socks keep my feet warm, my legs don’t get cold.
Hint-they don’t stink anymore!
The socks are amazing. Very comfortable and soft.
The order tracking was not good at all, it stayed as something like, shipper received the information" for a week and then they just showed up on my doorstep. I waited a few more days and the shipping status never changed, so I marked it as delivered.
Glad I received them, because otherwise the tracking wouldn't have told either of us anything at all!
With neuropathy in my feet, I require socks that are light, comfortable, firm-fitting, and warm. A big ask, but these Olive and Jet ankle socks, made from alpaca wool, do it all. Delighted with them, and I'll be ordering more when needed.
Best socks ive ever bought!!! Seriously comfortable, divinely soft, and a exceptional work socks- and that's coming from someone on their feet for 9 hrs a day! The style is neat, tidy and comfortable under trousers. They are sharp in appearance if seen under pants when seated. And they are both warm in the winter months and cool in the summer months, being made of fabulous Alpaca wool they enable this. Quite honestly the only sock brand I intend to buy ever again. And ive tried my fair few socks - im 45 years old! Thank you team Olive & Jet!! 💛
Love them
Warm durable and comfortable
Have been wearing them all week and over and over again. These socks have been washed 3 times and shape and wear is great. Do your self a favour and your feet
The best socks brand i have ever bought! Being made of exceptional alpaca wool these socks are divinely comfortable, well fitted & thus practical, as well as good quality and lo g lasting. Whose not looking for comfort in a sports shoe?! I use my little shorty ones for running, for which they're great! But also if required for tidy dress they absolutely work also. As you can see i bought multiples of 3 various styles, and I love them all. Seriously stoked with my socks! I intend to only buy Olive & Jet socks from now on. Thanks team Olive & Jet! 💛
My favourite socks! So soft & comfy - I’ve thrown away all the old ones. Looking forward to wearing the boot socks & quarter socks I ordered too, but not needed to try them yet. I really recommend the trainer socks though! This is the second lot I’ve bought, absolutely ideal, love them!
They feel great on... comfortable and warm. I am hoping they last well as I am pretty rough on my socks. 3 wears and about to wash! The company is excellent to deal with.
These are so comfortable. My curiosity got the better of me and wanted to find out all the fuss about Alpaca socks.
And not a bulky first too.
Very happy I got them 👍
Best socks ive ever bought! They are comfy, warm, quality and well fitted. This style reaches up your shins nicely, and keeping firm and well fitted stays in place throughout the day, and is not uncomfortable to leave so. Likewise, if you want to scrunch down to ankles work equally well there, too. And the packaging? Extra environmentally friendly - both minimal and recyclable. My only go-to sock brand from now on!
Who owns Olive & Jet & where are the socks made?+−
Olive & Jet was founded by a young entrepreneur from New Zealand, inspired by two alpacas he met on a run near Dunedin — Olive and Jet. Their fleece sparked the idea for a brand built on the unmatched qualities of alpaca fibre: softer than cashmere, warmer than wool, and naturally sustainable. We started with socks — the simplest way to bring this incredible fibre into everyday life — but this is just the beginning. Partnering with world-class alpaca textile specialists in China, we're committed to making natural clothing the new standard. Stay tuned — there's much more to come. 👀
Where is your alpaca wool sourced?+−
Our alpaca wool is ethically sourced from South America, where alpacas roam freely across the highlands much like sheep do in New Zealand. This region is home to the most mature and established alpaca wool industry in the world. Alpacas are shorn just once a year, typically in spring — a completely humane process that is essential for their wellbeing, helping them avoid overheating in warmer months. The wool is then carefully cleaned, spun, and crafted into our premium socks. Unlike synthetic fibers, alpaca wool is a natural and sustainable material that offers outstanding warmth, breathability, and comfort.
Who are alpaca socks for?+−
Alpaca socks are for people who want one sock to do it all — from days on the trails to lazy Sundays.
We've taken the ultimate natural fibre, alpaca, and crafted a sock that's built for hardcore use — but soft enough for everyday lounging.
Thanks to alpaca's incredible temperature regulation, moisture-wicking power, and cloud-like softness, these are seriously the best everyday socks — tough enough for any outdoor adventure, soft enough for Sunday mornings.
Ideal for:
✔ Hikers & runners – Breathable, warm, and blister-fighting for all terrains and trails.
✔ Trade & outdoor workers – Durable comfort that holds up in boots and long days.
✔ Everyday wearers – Luxuriously soft, itch-free, and warmer than wool.
✔ Loungers & cold-foot haters – Your go-to for chilly mornings and cozy nights.
✔ Anyone with sensitive skin – No lanolin = no itch, just pure, silky comfort.
Whether you're off on a mission or kicking back at home — Alpaca socks are built for it.

Why is alpaca better than merino wool?+−
Alpaca socks outperform merino in key areas: they're warmer, softer, and more durable. Alpaca fibres are naturally water-resistant and wick moisture better, keeping your feet dry and comfortable in any condition. Plus, they're hypoallergenic and don't retain odors like merino wool. For the ultimate blend of luxury and practicality, alpaca socks are simply unbeatable.
Are you going to make more alpaca related products?+−
Olive & Jet launched late last year with our flagship alpaca socks, and we're just getting started! As our brand grows, we plan to expand into a full line of alpaca fibre products, offering the same quality and comfort across a variety of natural, sustainable items. Stay tuned—there's much more to come!
Can I return the socks if I don't like them?+−
Yes! We offer a 99-Day Try-On Guarantee. This means you have 99 days from the date of delivery to decide if they're right for you. You can try them on at home, but returns must be in original condition — we can't accept pairs that have had extended, multi-day wear. Please include your order number and name inside the return package so we can match it to your order.
To start a return or exchange (for example, if you ordered the wrong size), just contact us at angus@pacos.co and we'll guide you through the process.
