PRODUCT DETAILS

All-day support that actually feels good. True graduated compression — firmest at the ankle, easing up the calf — keeps blood moving and legs fresh through long days on your feet, long flights, or recovery after a run. Built with baby alpaca instead of scratchy synthetics, so you get the support of a compression sock with the softness of your favourite everyday pair.

  • Graduated compression that works — firm at the ankle, easing up the leg, to support circulation and take the ache out of long days, travel and training
  • Non-binding cuff — stays up without digging in, so no red marks or indentations when you peel them off
  • Baby alpaca next to your skin — softer than cashmere, naturally breathable and moisture-wicking, so legs stay dry and cool instead of hot and sweaty
  • Fresh all day — alpaca's hollow fibre is naturally odour-resistant and temperature-regulating, morning to night
  • Easy on, easy off — enough give to pull on without a fight, snug and supportive once they're on

47% Baby Alpaca (the magic), 17% Polyester, 15% Acrylic, 15% Nylon, 6% Spandex.

Why a blend and not 100% alpaca? A compression sock has to do more than feel good — it has to stretch precisely, recover its shape, manage sweat, and hold its support wear after wear. Baby alpaca brings the softness, warmth and breathability; polyester and nylon add strength and moisture management; acrylic keeps it soft and helps it hold shape; and spandex delivers the controlled stretch that makes the compression actually work. Every fibre earns its place.

Why Alpaca

NATURE'S FINEST. ENGINEERED BY EVOLUTION.

Alpaca fibre is hollow, hypoallergenic, and naturally thermoregulating — warmer than wool, softer than cashmere, and stronger than both. Bred in the high Andes for 6,000 years.

Warmer than wool

less water absorption than cotton

30%

Stronger than wool

0

ZERO LANOLIN. ZERO ITCH.

Sheep's wool is coated in lanolin and needs heavy chemical processing to make it wearable. Alpaca never had it to begin with — naturally soft, straight off the animal.

6K

6,000 YEARS IN THE MAKING.

High in the Andes, alpacas evolved a fibre built to survive extreme altitude and brutal temperature swings. That's not a sales pitch — it's 6,000 years of evolution doing the work for you.

How We Compare

alpaca vs The Rest

ALPACA Merino Cotton
WARMTH 3× warmer than wool Bulky & traps heat Barely insulates at all
MOISTURE Absorbs 6x less water than cotton Holds onto sweat, gets heavy Soaks it up, stays wet
ITCH / LANOLIN Zero lanolin, zero itch Lanolin can irritate skin No lanolin, still not as soft
STRENGTH 30%+ stronger than wool Pills and stretches over time Wears thin, loses shape

FAQ

Got Questions? We've Got Answers.

Who owns Olive & Jet & where are the socks made? +

Olive & Jet was founded by a young entrepreneur from New Zealand, inspired by two alpacas he met on a run near Dunedin — Olive and Jet. Their fleece sparked the idea for a brand built on the unmatched qualities of alpaca fibre: softer than cashmere, warmer than wool, and naturally sustainable. We started with socks — the simplest way to bring this incredible fibre into everyday life — but this is just the beginning. Partnering with world-class alpaca textile specialists in China, we're committed to making natural clothing the new standard. Stay tuned — there's much more to come. 👀

Where is your alpaca wool sourced? +

Our alpaca wool is ethically sourced from South America, where alpacas roam freely across the highlands much like sheep do in New Zealand. This region is home to the most mature and established alpaca wool industry in the world. Alpacas are shorn just once a year, typically in spring — a completely humane process that is essential for their wellbeing, helping them avoid overheating in warmer months. The wool is then carefully cleaned, spun, and crafted into our premium socks. Unlike synthetic fibers, alpaca wool is a natural and sustainable material that offers outstanding warmth, breathability, and comfort.

Who are alpaca socks for? +

Alpaca socks are for people who want one sock to do it all — from days on the trails to lazy Sundays. We've taken the ultimate natural fibre, alpaca, and crafted a sock that's built for hardcore use — but soft enough for everyday lounging. Thanks to alpaca's incredible temperature regulation, moisture-wicking power, and cloud-like softness, these are seriously the best everyday socks — tough enough for any outdoor adventure, soft enough for Sunday mornings. Ideal for: ✔ Hikers & runners – Breathable, warm, and blister-fighting for all terrains and trails. ✔ Trade & outdoor workers – Durable comfort that holds up in boots and long days. ✔ Everyday wearers – Luxuriously soft, itch-free, and warmer than wool. ✔ Loungers & cold-foot haters – Your go-to for chilly mornings and cozy nights. ✔ Anyone with sensitive skin – No lanolin = no itch, just pure, silky comfort. Whether you're off on a mission or kicking back at home — Alpaca socks are built for it.

How do I mix and match styles, sizes and colours and still get the discount? +

Buy 2, Get 1 Free → Add 3 pairs → Save around 33% Buy 4, Get 4 Free → Add 8 pairs → Save 50% You can mix and match any styles, sizes, and colours. Just: 1. Why is alpaca better than merino wool? +

Alpaca socks outperform merino in key areas: they're warmer, softer, and more durable. Alpaca fibres are naturally water-resistant and wick moisture better, keeping your feet dry and comfortable in any condition. Plus, they're hypoallergenic and don't retain odors like merino wool. For the ultimate blend of luxury and practicality, alpaca socks are simply unbeatable.

Are you going to make more alpaca related products? +

Olive & Jet launched late last year with our flagship alpaca socks, and we're just getting started! As our brand grows, we plan to expand into a full line of alpaca fibre products, offering the same quality and comfort across a variety of natural, sustainable items. Stay tuned—there's much more to come!

Can I return the socks if I don't like them? +

Yes! We offer a 99-Day Try-On Guarantee. This means you have 99 days from the date of delivery to decide if they're right for you. You can try them on at home, but returns must be in original condition — we can't accept pairs that have had extended, multi-day wear. Please include your order number and name inside the return package so we can match it to your order. To start a return or exchange (for example, if you ordered the wrong size), just contact us at angus@pacos.co and we'll guide you through the process.
